OPEN: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR: WIRING OF UNIT #5 AKIACHAK, ALASKA
Yupiit School District is accepting sealed bids for delivery of all materials and install electrical services
for Unit # 5 in Akiachak, Alaska to the meter base. This house is located in remote rural Alaska and none
are accessible by road.
The Scope of Work will include the purchase, transportation, delivery, installation of electrical service for
House #5 to include the Boiler Room and Lift Station for the Yupiit School District’s Unit #5 in Akiachak, Alaska.
• Unit #5 is approximately 1,172 square foot house, which is currently demolished down to the
building interior studs. The Scope of Work is to include the following areas: two (2)
bedrooms, one (1) bathroom with exhaust fan, one (1) Kitchen with exhaust fan, one (1)
Livingroom, one (1) Storage room, one (1) Laundry Room, Interior & Exterior Lighting,
hallways, two (2) exterior entrances, one (1) Boiler Room and one (1) Lift Station, heat trace
for water and sewer lines with ground fault equipment protection, installed to 2020 National
Electrical Code (NEC) and the 2015 International Building Code (IBC). The house will require
all new grounding, wire, switches (single and two way), outlets, house panel box with
breakers for the completion of work. Any exterior wiring will need to be installed in PVC
conduit schedule 80.
• Attached are photos of the existing panel box, exterior front & back of house, current kitchen
studs, current lift station and basic house layout.
• Yupiit School District will provide lodging and transportation in Akiachak.

Yupiit School District is accepting sealed bids for delivery of Engineering Services for Redesign of HVAC for incorporate in HEPA Filtration Systems, Direct Digital Controls DDC | HVAC Control with computer system with DDC Systems that offer a high level of control for building mechanical and electrical systems. Additionally, modern state of the art direct digital controls that have the ability to offer trending of equipment. Engineering evaluation and redesign of each schools’ electrical requirements to incorporate in the new systems for Akiachak, Akiak, and Tuluksak schools. Drawings to be provided to Yupiit School District for 50%, 85% and 100% Reviews, prior to final construction design drawings. All Redesign drawings to be provided to Yupiit School District for Construction Bidding. All schools are located in remote rural Alaska and none are accessible by road.
The scope of work will include the cost of travel for review of existing buildings, per-diem, redesign of systems, estimate of final construction costs for redesign costs for the Yupiit School District’s.

Prices will include going over existing pad and pour system to include per- diem, labor, travel, shipping of tools and materials to complete the project. Project to include a new 4” rubber base.
