The Technology Office
The YSD Technology Office is moving from a centralized model to site-based support. By the end of FY09 we will have part time tech support in Akiak and Tuluksak. There is a full time tech support person in Akiachak who serves the school, the district office and district-wide related support issues.

The YSD WAN
YSD has a Wide Area Network that connects all of our school and district office via broadband. This connection allows us to serve sites for more efficiently. For example, email, Accelerated Math, PowerSchool, and Type to Learn are 4 programs that reside on servers in our district office. All of our Internet traffic flows over our WAN. AUPs
No network or email accounts are created unless the user has a current AUP on file. The district office maintains AUPs for adults. Sites are responsible for maintaining AUPs for students.
